After dragging myself out of bed at 5:55 am (it’s still dark!!), driving about 45 minutes (that’s how long it takes when you hit bumper to bumper traffic, then make a wrong turn, back-track, and then hit a wall of pouring down rain), I finally made it to the parking lot at the Tidal Basin in Washington DC this morning. Due to the rain and clouds, lighting was not optimum for photography. I managed to snap about 98 shots before dragging myself back home for a nap. Also, the buds are not quite full bloom yet, so I will try again later this week. Here are a few of my favorite shots from today.
